Ray Longo has been training fighters for over twenty years.  He has trained kickboxing champions, Thai boxing champions, Golden Gloves champions and two UFC champions, Matt Serra and reigning UFC Middleweight champion Chris Weidman.

 

Longo and Matt Serra are partners in Team Serra-Longo, which is one of MMA’s most successful fight camps.  Longo was a Team Serra coach on Season 6 of The Ultimate Fighter reality show.

 

Longo owns Ray Longo’s MMA Academy located in Garden City, Long Island. The school, which features a regulation sized boxing ring and MMA cage, has been in operation since 1990.  The curriculum includes boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, MMA, wrestling, and ju-jitsu.  Ray is a certified instructor of Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kun Do Concepts, under Richard Bustillo, Tom Batell and Paul Vunak.
