Lou Negila

Louis Neglia is a three-time World Kickboxing Champion, a former U.S. Kickboxing Champion, a Florida Karate Champion, New York State Champion, and an Eastern American Karate Champion.

 

Lou is an eight-degree Black Belt who retired from competition in 1985 with a career record of 34 wins and only 2 losses.

 

He starred in four martial arts related motion pictures (“A Hard Way to Die”,”Super Weapon”,”Fist of Fear”,and “One Down”, “Two To Go”).

Louis Neglia operates a kickboxing and martial arts academy in Brooklyn, New York.

 

Many New Jersey fighters have competed on his Combat at the Capitale shows held in New York City.

 

He has promoted over fifty professional and amateur mixed martial arts events in New Jersey. He has also held about as many kickboxing cards in this State.

 

He has held shows in Asbury Park, Atlantic City, Edison, Elizabeth, Newark, North Bergen, and Secaucus

.

He is most recognized for his long running professional mixed martial arts promotion known as Ring of Combat. Every Ring of Combat subsequent to the first show has been held in New Jersey.

 

Ring of Combat events are notable for featuring promising local fighters who are later signed by large worldwide promotions. Some Ring of Combat alumni include Eddie Alvarez, Edson Barboza , Frank Edgar, Louis Gaudinot, Josh Koscheck, Jim Miller, Dan Miller, Kurt Pellegrino, Costa Philippou, Pete Sell and Chris Weidman.
